Young footballers hone their skills at preseason friendlies in Sandton

As the season draws closer, both players and coaches were eager to gather at the Sandton Sports Club for a day of friendlies to hone their skills for the upcoming season.

On March 9, the Sandton Sports Club in Parkmore hosted a series of preseason friendlies, where players from various teams gathered for an exciting day of football.

The event was less about keeping score and more about allowing young athletes to hone their skills and prepare for the upcoming season.

Herold Matodzi, the director of coaching at Warriors FC, emphasised the importance of such matches for player development. “The preseason friendlies are vital for our young players to adjust and refine their techniques. It is not about the results today; it is about ensuring they are ready for the challenges ahead in the season.”
