Vaal Marina SAPS celebrates Women’s Month

The presents of blankets and other items were also issued to the women.

VAAL MARINA.- The Vaal Marina police together with the Agape Lerato Community Service partnered with Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) and different stakeholders to celebrate Women’s Month at Vaal Marina Christian Church recently.

Police spokesperson, Constable Thabang Mothibe, said that the initiative challenged women to stand up for themselves and to be resolute about their lives and to also minimise the issue of domestic violence, drugs and alcohol abuse in their households.

“The 2026 Women’s celebration, was held to encourage and remind the women about the importance of their roles in household and society and also to create a safe space for them as women and assure them that they have the support of the police and Agape Lerato Community Services and other stakeholders including the municipality in all activities that can better them as women that also in includes fighting women abuse.”
