SEDIBENG.- Boitumelo Radiopane is one of the players who have raised their hand to impress the new Bafana Bafana coach, Pitso Mosimane.

This 24-year-old Sebokeng-born star seems to have finally found his scoring boots after scoring his second goal of the season when Orlando Pirates beat Kruger United 4-0 in the Betway Premiership mid-week fixture on September 1.

Radiopane has hit his old form, which was well known while he was still playing for Pirates’ DStv Diski Challenge team.

This is the kind of performance that saw the club promote him to the senior team. However, he struggled to break into the team and forced the club to loan him to Cape Town Spurs.

Radiopane helped the club gain promotion to the PSL before Pirates recalled him. Pirates have been patient with Radiopane, giving him a chance, and this time he grabbed this opportunity with both hands.

He is one of the players Pirates will look at to carry the club to glory this season. He has already impressed this season, scoring his first and second goals against Sekhukhune United and Kruger United, respectively.

No doubt, if this performance is anything to go by, Radiopane is one of the players who should expect to get a Bafana Bafana call-up for the upcoming African Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Guinea on September 23.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport after his impressive performance against Kruger United, Radiopane said his focus now is to improve with every game.

He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that it is every player’s wish to play for Bafana Bafana, but at the moment his focus is to continue to work hard. He thanked Pirates’ technical staff for having faith in his ability.

“I just want to thank the coach for having faith in me, and I will keep on working hard at training. This is my focus at the moment,” said Radiopane.

Radiopane started his amateur football career with Celta Figo Academy in Evaton.
