Police spokesperson Captain Aubrey Moopeloa says that police arrested the 23-year-old just after he arrived at his place when they received information from the community. The suspect had allegedly jumped a fence, carrying a panga at Qedilizwe Secondary School last month, while a 21-year-old suspect was studying in class at around 05:10. He approached the class wherein the victim was studying and started assaulting him.
This caused havoc in the class with some students jumping from the windows and falling from the first floor.
“According to witnesses, the suspect was with other members of his gang, which were not mentioned to the police. The suspect will face a charge of assault and will appear in Sebokeng Magistrates Court soon,” Moopeloa concluded.
