Drought far from over
De Vries points out that the drought is not the only worry about water "the state of our water supply is as bad as having water scarcity. Metals, bacteria, antibiotics, hormones and a host of other very worrying contaminants in the water supply, both known and unknown, are found in water" he says.

South Africa is facing a water catastrophe either from scarcity or from the contaminants in the water supply.
The rainfall that South Africa has enjoyed over the past few weeks is “nowhere near enough to break the current drought” according to Ray de Vries, CEO of Water from Air, a company that harvest water from the air.
“This is the worst drought in over 100 years and relief is not coming any time soon according to the weather experts” says De Vries.
De Vries points out that the drought is not the only worry about water “the state of our water supply is as bad as having water scarcity. Metals, bacteria, antibiotics, hormones and a host of other very worrying contaminants in the water supply, both known and unknown, are found in water” he says.
The only immediate solution is water harvested from the air. Harvesting water at home is now as simple as switching a machine on.
“Harvesting water from the air is a game changer. Trying to play catch up with our country’s delapidated infrastructure will take years and needs billions to fix” he said “there is nine times more water in the air than in all the oceans of the world. The solution to our water crisis is right under nose and what makes me so proud is that it is made by South Africans for South Africans right here in South Africa”.
The smallest water maker, the AW3, produces up to 32 litres and our largest one up to 1000 litres per 24 hours. The AW3 is a purification plant in itself and is designed to replace the old-fashoined type of water dispenser found in homes and offices throughout SA.
“The key to our exploding business is accessibility and back up service as water is crucial to each and everyone of us every day. We are a pure water solutions company – not merely sellers of machines. This is absolutely vital as we are dealing with the most important need in our lives” he said.
“The ramifications are huge – imagine when there is no drinking water, no water for sanitation and no washing clothes, cars, windows or even your face. Imagine when restaurants are unable to clean dishes, make tea or coffee, serve drinks from soda fountains, boil food, make a sauce or even soup?
“Imagine a time when there is no water for dentists, doctors, clinics, hospitals, kidney dialysis or other medical procedures, let alone in all the other areas in our life mentioned where water is critical.
South Africans need to secure their own water supply that is sutainable, pure and healthy going forward.
