There’s a stinking, rotten crust of raw sewage that formed in the Vaal Dam and according to Deneysville resident Peet Schabort, who took the video earlier today (19 Nov 2017) it is understood that “certain authorities” already know about this. “If so, why does this mess not get sucked up by Water Affairs or the Metsimaholo Municipality?” asks Peet.
Fact is, many thousands – maybe millions – of South Africans depend on the Vaal Dam for our drinking water. This situation is absolutely intolerable and unacceptable.
