SHARPEVILLE. – 27- year- old Thabiso Nkhase is still reeling in shock after a black BMW convertible crashed into his home in Dubula Drive, Sharpeville on Sunday evening while he and four kids from his family were in the kitchen making food.

The five survived unscathed while the six occupants of the car, three males and three females had to be taken to hospital for their injuries. It is said that there had been a race between two cars when the driver lost control, crashing into the house.

“What scares me is that we had been in the sitting room watching TV and playing games just minutes before the crash happened. Luckily I never leave the kids behind when I have to make food for them, we always do it together.”

Nkhase said that the car could have killed him and the kids. “This was very traumatic for me and the kids. I still can’t stop thinking about it.” Nkhase said that he hoped that the kids would receive counselling for what happened as they are still shaken by what happened.
