Taxi overturns leaving eleven people injured

It is said that paramedics, along with the Provincial Services arrived on the scene at 06h24 to find the taxi on the side of the road.

MEYERTON. – ER24 reports that  eleven people were left injured this morning when the taxi they were travelling in overturned and rolled off the Weilbach Road in Meyerton.

It is said that paramedics, along with the Provincial Services arrived on the scene at 06h24 to find the taxi on the side of the road. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found lying on the grassy embankment.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that eleven had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene. The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Kopanong and Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for further care.

The details surrounding the incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
