The Vereeniging Operatic and Dramatic Society (VODS) will be holding it’s 57th Annual General Meeting, on Saturday, June 2 at 18:3 for 19:00 in The Tienie van Wyk VODS Clubhouse. The AGM will be followed by light entertainment and a light, hearty meal. There is no cost to attend the AGM. The Vereeniging Operatic and Dramatic Society is one of the longest standing amateur dramatic societies in the country. VODS has been in operation since the early 70’s and was invited to perform at the Grand Opening of the Civic Theatre in 1977 with the musical production Gigi, making use of local talent. The society has come a long way since then and they now produce at least four supper shows per year, with a major production every second or third year. VODS would like to encourage all its members and members of the public who are interested in joining the society, to attend. Membership fees are only R100 per family per year.
