Mayor expresses his condolences over Gogo’s death

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The Emfuleni Local Municipality Mayor Gift Moerane has expressed  his condolences over the untimely death  of Susan Matona (79).

Matona passed away yesterday at Mqiniswa Primary VD in Bophelong, Vanderbijlpark Zone. Matona did not get the chance o cast her vote. She has been described as a staunch member of the African National Congress (ANC) in ward 7, Sello Hlanyane Branch in ELM.

“Upon her arrival at the station she felt exhausted and collapsed. Parademics responded promptly to the scene and unfortunately certified her dead. On behalf of the ELM and eligible voters, I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to the Matona family, comrades, friends and loved ones.”

Moerane further stated that  Matona is an epitome of our commitment to building a non-sexist, non-racial, Democratic and United South Africa. ” We feel very honored and privileged to have cadres of her caliber,” Moerane concluded.
