Man arrested after raping four teenagers

Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale reports that the man was initially arrested for assault (GBH) on Friday morning in Eatonside.

SEDIBENG. – The Sedibeng District Commander Major General Zodwa Molefe has applauded the diligent work of police officers after a man suspected of raping four 15-year-old girls was arrested last week.

The incident happened on a farm near Roshnee. Police had been on a manhunt for the suspect since last week Monday after the incident happened.

The four girls were on their way home from school when they were approached by the man who was carrying a knife.

The suspect threatened to shoot the victims as he told them that he was in possession of a firearm.

The four victims were frightened and could not scream for help during the ordeal. The suspect subsequently released three of the girls and kidnapped one girl who was later found.

Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale reports that the man was initially arrested for assault (GBH) on Friday morning in Eatonside.

He was then granted bail on Monday for the assault charge and was later arrested for the rape of four teenage girls.
