5 arrested for fraud at a well-known Vereeniging Roadhouse Grill

VEREENIGING. – A female (37) and four male suspects (aged 35-42) were arrested at a well-known Roadhouse Grill in Vereeniging last week.
The five were charged with fraud.
This follows lengthy investigations after numerous customers complained and laid charges after they were charged huge amounts on their credit and bank cards after making food purchases at the Roadhouse Grill.
“We have over fifty (50) complaints from clients and the group was arrested last week. They were apparently inflating food prices and taking the money for themselves, and this had apparently being going on for a long time.” said Funda.
Amongst the five are two illegal persons from Zimbabwe, they appeared at the Vereeniging magistrates Court on Friday and their case was postponed for further investigations.
“Preliminary investigations reveal that more charges will be added as many people’s statements still need to be taken and as I have mentioned we have over fifty charges already,” Funda said.
Investigations continue.
