See legendary John Edmond live in the Vaal!

Edmond will especially be remembered as the “Troepies” favourite in South Africa and Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) of 40 years ago

Older music lovers will remember the singing sensation from the 1960s, 70s and 80s, John Edmond, who had No 1 hits with his catchy songs like Toy Train, Fairy Tales, Passadena, Every day and Every Night, Boom sha la lo and many others.

Edmond will especially be remembered as the “Troepies” favourite in South Africa and Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) of 40 years ago.

And now the radio station IFM 102.2 and the newspapers Ster and Vaalweekblad have joined forces to bring this legend back to the Vaal! Sharky Town is the place to be on Saturday, August 3 when John will share the stage with his son, Grant Edmond, who currently has a hit on IFM’S Country Hit Parade with Teach your Children. This is going to be a Father and Son Show not to be missed!

But that’s not all… For the first time ever, a brand new female vocalist, Caroline Bergman, will be introduced in her debut performance in South Africa. All the singers’ CDs will be available. IFM’s Cousin Rick will be your host for the evening.

Tickets will be available at the door at R50 for adults and R20 for under 12’s. Doors open at 18:00 and the show starts at 20:00. See you there!
