Expired goods seized by police during operation in Vereeniging

Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda confirms that a substantial amount of expired goods were seized from businesses during operation Okae Molao in Vereeniging yesterday.

VEREENIGIGNG. -Police Spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda confirms that a substantial amount of  expired goods were seized from businesses  during operation Okae Molao in Vereeniging yesterday.

Various law enforcement officials formed part of the operation. Funda says, ” Among some of the expired goods were 150 boxes cigarettes, beers, ciders, wines, Pampers nappies, tissue papers, Mongola, snacks, Chocolates, energy and soft drinks,  sanitary pads and yeast.”

“We also issued about 40 summons for traffic fines and non compliance. Four undocumented suspects were arrested. The suspects will appear in the  Vereeniging magistrate court.”
