Speaking with Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mbatha said before she was appointed as the Emfuleni Local Football Association Secretary, it never crossed her mind that one day she would be involved in in football administration.
Her love for football developed when her father managed a football club called Komkyk FC that campaign in Safa Promotion League by then.
She would watch the team training as the soccer ground was opposite her parents house. She told Sedibeng Ster Sport that she would be a ball girl to bring the balls back in the field.
However, she could have became a model but she choose football. Her break in football, came when she appointed Komkyk FC administrator and club’s secretary.
Giving highlights of her football career, she was also appointed the Safa Sedibeng SAB League team, Palm Springs United.
Apart from being a football administrator, Mbatha is also an entrepreneur and event co-coordinator
She studied Business Administration and Diploma in Human Resources Management.
“I’m not in football by mistake, I fell in love with football at the very young age. I was very fortunate to grow up in football family. I want to make name for myself in football and follow in the footsteps of those great women before me,” he said.
Mbatha said her mission is to see Emfuleni having the women soccer league that formed from schools.
She made a special plea to the Emfuleni community to stay at home to save lives.
