EVATON. – Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Tshegofatso Maliehe says, “The discovery was made by  a neighbour who is also an elderly woman. The woman said that she had gone to ask for cigarette from her neighbour as they usually smoke together.

“On arrival she noticed that the door was half closed as she entered,  she then saw her friend lying  on the floor with no movement. She  quickly notified other neighbours who then called the Police.”

Maliehe says that the motive behind the barbaric murder is not yet known and no arrest has been made.

Sedibeng District Commander General  Zodwa Molefe appeals to anyone who might have information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect to come forward with the information.
