Tip-off leads police to dagga dealer

The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear at Vereeniging Magistrate court soon.

VAAL MARINA. – While doing a routine crime prevention operation, police from Vaal Marina received a tip-off about a man selling dagga in the area on Saturday.

The Vaal Marina police arrested the suspect after searching his place in Mamello Informal Settlement, Vaal Marina. Police Spokesperson, Warrant Officer Tshegofatso Maliehe said that police received a tip-off about the man selling dagga and went to his house where they found four packets of dagga in a ziploc bags, one full bag of Dagga with the weight of 715 gram, a cash amount of R 377 and two boxes of ziploc bags.

The suspect was arrested and is expected to appear at Vereeniging Magistrate court soon.
