Free Baptist Church ready for their first service

SEDIBENG.-  Churches are preparing to have their first services since the lockdown on Sunday.

Free Baptist Church in Vanderbijlpark is one of the churches that are looking forward to welcoming back their congregation for the first time after two months without church service.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the church pastor, Sibusiso Dladla said things will change the way churches used do things.

However, Dladla said they are ready to comply with lockdown regulations.

He said his church will do everything to ensure the safety of the congregations come first during the church service. Dladla said as church they will adhere to lockdown regulations to have 50 or less congregations per Sunday. He said the church will make sure that the place will be clean and sanitized before Sunday.

“As you see we are about to hold a meeting to discuss among the other things, how we are going to control the situation. As church we are going to do everything in our power to make sure everyone is safe,” he said.

Dladla revealed to Sedibeng Ster that they will demarcate the congregations according to their areas every Sunday.

He said the church also plans to conduct church service outside church for the congregations in cars.

He said those in the cars they don’t had to get out as the sermon will reach them in their cars.

Meanwhile, some of the churches made it clear they are not ready to welcome back their congregations.
