However, the lower leagues teams will have to wait for longer before they go back in action.
This was revealed by SAFA Acting CEO Tebogo Motlanthe in an interview with Metro FM on Monday. This was after a Task Team which consisted with SAFA and PSL Task Team members gave a feedback when it will be possible for the league to resume.
Motlanthe told Metro FM Sports that the feedback or report doesn’t included lower leagues.
He said the resuming of the lower leagues will be directive from SAFA regions, local football associations and local government’s sports, arts and recreation.
However, Motlanthe made it clear no teams are allowed to train including the both PSL and Glad African Championship teams until further notice.
He revealed that SAFA wrote a letter to the Minister of Sports Nathi Mthethwa with a request for permission for the PSL teams to resume with their training and they will take it from there. But this will only happen after all COVID-19 pandemic regulations were put in place including the testing of all the role players in football.
