Sporting activities all over Sedibeng

To make it worse, these illegal sporting activities take place at municipal facilities.

SEDIBENG.- With the number of COVID-19 increasing in sports, there were sporting activities that took place at various venues over the weekend.
Sedibeng Ster Sport visited the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Center in Zone 14, Sebokeng and the venue was packed with basketball activities on Saturday. This is despite COVID-19 regulations that prohibit sporting activities, particularly contact sport.
When Sedibeng Ster Sport asked the security personnel at the venue who allowed this activities to take place, he said that there was nothing that he could do as the players insisted on playing. To make it worse, these illegal sporting activities take place at municipal facilities.
“I have no powers to stop them because even municipality people are part of the same games. Did you see the municipality car that just went out, why they didn’t stop those people? I’m just a security guard and who will listen to me if the people whoare supposed to stop them pretend as if nothing is happening. I’m happy you came but don’t say I’m the one that told you this. I don’t want to lose my job. But this is what is going on almost every weekend in this complex?” he said.
