VEREENIGING. –  The South African Police Services (SAPS) will today, through a melting process destruct about 30 000 illegal firearms at Arcelor Mittal in Vereeniging.

The firearm destruction takes place under #Gunsoffthestreets. The guns were seized by police through intelligence driven operations and tip-offs from the streets.

This is in efforts to remove illegal firearms and ammunition from the streets as they pose a threat to communities.
