SEBOKENG.- The local football and politic fraternity is mourning the death of former Football Administrator, Zacharia “Chicks” Masetle (61).
Masetle, who was the former SAFA Director of Competitions, passed on at his home in Boiketlong, Sebokeng, over the weekend. He was well known for his no-nonsense approach both in football and politics.
He was also instrumental in transforming the ABC Motsepe League, formerly Vodacom League, into the competitive league that it is today in all SAFA provinces.
His son, Thabiso Masetle, described him as a great man and said that his death is a great loss not only to the family, but to the Sedibeng community.
Masetle will be buried on Friday.
