POTCHEFSTROOM. – A woman, believed to be in her 40s, was killed yesterday after shes struck by a taxi on the N12, approximately 5km outside of Potchefstroom.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene  to find the taxi parked on the side of the road. The body of a woman in her 40s was found lying in front of the vehicle.

Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead.

The driver of the taxi, fortunately, escaped injury. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigation
