Report cases of abuse: Police

Some of the factors that emerged during the discussions were alcohol and substance abuse.

EVATON. – The Evaton police recently urged the members of the community to report cases of women and child abuse.
This took place during a Gender Based Violence (GBV) campaign that was held at a community hall in Evaton West, Extension 11.

The event started with a dialogue where community members discussed GBV thoroughly and shared ideas on how to deal with it.

Some of the factors that emerged during the discussions were alcohol and substance abuse and high levels of unemployment.
Community members were encouraged to report cases of GBV and the victims were urged to make use of the services offered by the police and community organizations that deal with such issues.
