The creative boys said they started their own township style Olympic Games.

BOPHELONG. – Young boys were spotted playing ‘break – fall’ by Sedibeng Ster lens man in Bophelong Extension 18 recently.

The creative boys said they started their own township style Olympic Games.

On how they organise their game, they said that they first collect four or three old mattresses, and blankets and put them together.

“It depend on the quality of the mattresses,” they said.

About one meter away behind the mattresses they put flat rocks or bricks and use them as an ascending steep.

The bricks and rocks boost them to be able to jump high

The energetic youngsters aged between six to twelve years- old, said they play an acrobatic style or – jump- break fall.

They individually run at high speed, on the rock and jump at high pace before they fall on top of the mattresses. They somersault and stand on their feet.

Asked how they come up with such a unique plan, “Loitering on the streets with nothing to do, we ended up with this game. This is our own recreation facility. We don’t have money for expensive material,” they said
