Community Centre pleads for assistance

For years, Etelang Pele Community Services under the management of Mpho Molakeng has played an integral part in alleviating poverty and assisting children from poor backgrounds in and around Sebokeng

SEBOKENG. – After moving to a new premise where they have big plans to build a community centre recently, Etelang Pele Community Services are now pleading to members of the community for contributions towards building materials in order for them to continue servicing the needy.

Spokesperson Boyca Motaung says, “The centre services more than 500 kids and employs about 60 people. It has really had a positive impact on this community, and we would like nothing more than to see it grow.”

Motaung said that other services they offer include life skills development, drug and substance abuse awareness, career guidance and human rights education.

The centre also holds events where they address issues ailing the community. “We are pleading with the community to please assist us. “It does not have to be money; they can buy us the materials and bring them to the centre.”
