Radebe becomes third local player at Kaizer Chiefs

"I'm overwhelmed by the trust coach Hunt has in my ability and I won't disappoint him."

SEDIBENG. – For the first time in the history of South African football, Kaizer Chiefs has three players from the Vaal in its first team.

This is after the Premier Soccer League team promoted another youngster from Sedibeng, namely Sabelo “Bibo” Radebe. Radebe has reunited with his MDC teammates who are also his home boys, Lebohang Lesako and Siyabonga Ngezana.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Radebe said that his promotion to the Kaizer Chiefs senior team is a dream come true since ‘growing up’ at the club’s development. He was recruited to Kaizer Chiefs development by Coach Kenneth “Conti” Kubheka.

Radebe spent six years at the Chiefs development including the MDC team before being promoted to senior team recently after he impressed current Kaizer Chiefs Coach, Gavin Hunt.

This former Celta Vigo Development FC product still has to make his official debut for Kaizer Chiefs in an official game.

“I’m overwhelmed by the trust coach Hunt has in my ability and I won’t disappoint him. I’m working hard every day at training to impress him,” said Radebe.
