Turning art into a hobby and a business

Mou said that he is a young man with barely any resources but with a vision to improve society by creating opportunities.

SEDIBENG. – When Mansa Mou (25) saw a business opportunity beckoning he received it with open arms.

Born in Small Farm, Evaton but currently residing in Meyerton, Mou founded a movement called Oxvicouture which emphasizes in telling telling its stories in the fashion, music, film and writing mediums.

Mou said that he is a young man with barely any resources but with a vision to improve society by creating opportunities and quality premium products on and above world standards.

“We aim to bring to life ideas, and to execute the conceived concept. Vaal has fused traditional culture with urban modern culture to bring about a vibrancy incomparable with anywhere else in South Africa.  My mission is making sure that all society is given a fair opportunity to ‘couture’ to their fullest potential.”

Mou said that ‘couture’ has taken a definition beyond its original denotation in Vaal.

“It is a lifestyle, an attitude a burning sensation unlike no other. You can be caught “couturing”, you can wear “couture” you can listen to “couture”. Believe in couture. Couturism is bigger than life, it is our way of life.”
