VANDERBIJLPARK.  – Faith Letlojane, Marike Botha and Mabokang Ditaba were among some of the first community members who were made to believe that a R600 flat rate will stand.

The residents took to the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Customer Service Center yesterday holding high their cash to pay what they self-proclaimed as a flat rate on their rates and taxes.

The residents who said that they believe that their struggle is over, were allowed to pay.

Everyone had high hopes that this was a great achievement.

It is still to be found whether ELM will consider their wishes or whether they will remain just far-fetched dreams.
