Water crisis in Vanderbijl

The residents were left stranded after the main pipe that supply water to the areas was reported burst.

VANDERBIJLPARK.- The past three days Vanderbijlpark, Bophelong and Boipatong residents have been without water.

Even sporting activities were affected by the water crisis. The residents were all over the places looking for water. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, the resident said that it was frustating to be without water since from Friday.

“We are told that now and then to wash our hands due to COVID-19 regulations. How do we do that wi this situation?,” asked frustrated residents.

Later today, Emfuleni Local Municipality water department had completed fixing a burst pipe in Vanderbijlpark which had caused the problem.
