VANDERBIJLPARK. – Not only is Auto Investments always looking out for the best vehicle deals for their clients. They also looked after the safety of a child who accidently missed his transport home!
Recently, on a Friday afternoon, one of the company’s staff members, Ms Rebecca Mosikidi, noticed a boy crying next to the road. She didn’t have the heart to leave him there and brought him to the nearby office of Ms Ronel Coetzee at Auto Investments’ premises in Vanderbijlpark’s Central Business District.
“Through his tears the child said he missed his taxi home and did not know where he was. He did not know his address, neither did he know his parents’ contact details. I looked inside his schoolbag and found that he was a learner at El Shaddai School.
We contacted the school but the staff had already left for the weekend. After we calmed the boy down, we asked one of our drivers, Mr Boiki Pholoane, to chat with him and try to get information about where his home was. Boiki deduced that it was somewhere in Zone 10, an area Boiki knows well,” says Ronel.
After lots of well-wishes and goodbyes, Boiki and the child left for Zone 10, where the boy was able to give directions to get to his house. He was soon united with his parents.
The school afterwards thanked Auto Investment’s staff with a special treat.
“It was a huge pleasure for us to unite the lost boy with his worried but very grateful parents,” says Ronel.
