VAAL TRIANGLE. – ER24 reports that one person was killed and four injured when the vehicle they were travelling in overturned and landed on a palisade fence along R42 Barrage Road near Rand Water over the weekend.

“Paramedics arrived on the scene and found a man lying a few meters away from the vehicle. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.

“Four others were helped out of the car by bystanders before paramedics arrived on the scene.

Three men and a woman who had sustained moderate injuries were treated and transported to Mediclinic Vereeniging and Kopanong Hospital respectively.”

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known. Local authorities attended the scene.
