Owner’s shack destroyed

RUST- TER- VAAL.- Raspule Maile, one of the member of the “To Know the Right”, has opened a case of malicious damage to property at the De Deur Police Station.

This after his shack was demolished and vandalized by a group of people wearing ANC regalia at the Ramaphosa Village informal squatters in the morning recently. Raspule said the group called themselves leaders and that they want to enrich themselves through the expenses of the disgruntled community.

“The attack comes after we revealed their secrets, we are ‘To Know the Right’.”

He said at the time he was busy opening a case, part of the same group arrived to open a case as counter attack. However, he pointed out to the police those suspects, they were immediately detained. Police spokesperson, Constable Tlaleng Moloi confirmed that a case was opened. She said that the suspects were arrested and later released out on free bail pending further investigation. She said that the next court date is 30 June at the Vereeniging Magistrate’s court.

Moloi further said according to the police docket the ‘fight’ is influenced by political party.
