Operation O Kae Molao yields success

According to police spokesperson Constable Maria Letsele, the operation was carried out as a means of restoring law and order in the area. 

DE DEUR. – The diligent execution of operation O Kae Molao which was held by the SAPS in conjunction with Department of Community Safety, Midvaal Local Municipality, Sedibeng Cluster,as well as other stakeholders yielded success.

According to police spokesperson Constable Maria Letsele, the operation was carried out as a means of restoring law and order in the area.

The operation was held over the weekend starting on Saturday evening and lasted until the early hours of Sunday morning.

Letsele says, “In the process of the operation 260 vehicles, 90 people and 10 Premises were searched. Police  raided 15 tuckshops and seized all counterfeit products.

“The focus was on illegal gatherings and 38 people were arrested for failure to comply with Lockdown Level 4 regulations.

“Liquor was  also confiscated at tese illegal gatherings. An illegal immigrant was also arrested during the operation.”

 Acting station commander Lieutenant Colonel Cecelia Mokako urges community members to adhere to Lockdown Level 4 regulations.
