Emfuleni Local Municipality says that water supply to Vanderbijlpark and surrounding areas is progressively being restored after the Water Demand Management team completed repairs on a bulk pipeline supplying reservoirs yesterday.

“The team has been refilling the reservoirs since late yesterday. Reservoirs are more than 50% full at-present and as a result, consumers in lower laying areas have obtained water while those in some of the higher laying areas are yet to have water.

“The municipality is pleading with all affected consumers to continue using water sparingly to allow for reservoirs to fill up quicker.”
