Missing child (6) found dead

"The child was found dead, thrown into a sewer main hole, which was covered with tree leaves behind Kwa-Masiza hostels."

SEBOKENG.- A man is on the run following the discovery of a body of a six-year-old child dumped in a sewer main hole was made in Golden Gardens, outside Sebokeng on Sunday.

It is said that on Saturday at about 6:45 the mother of the child went looking for the child after she went messing and neighbours told her that they had heard a child crying at a house nearby. Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Nombulelo Mohlakoana said that the mother went looking for the child at the said house and met with the suspect whom she asked about the child.

“(During the confrontation) the suspects stabbed her on the shoulder with a knife and she was taken to hospital for treatment. The police were called and a search begun for the missing child.”
Mohlakoana adds that the search continued on Sunday and the child was found dead, thrown into a sewer main hole, which was covered with tree leaves behind Kwa-Masiza hostels.
“The suspect is known and police are looking for him as he has since fled the area. We humbly request the community to help locate him,” said Mohlakoana.
She pleaded with the community not to take the law into their own hands (mob justice).
