SAPS women against GBV

“The community was also sensitized about the different forms of GBV, and ways to curb and report such acts."

ORANGE FARM.- Local Women’s Month celebrations and education campaigns concluded recently in Orange Farms when members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) took a firm stance against violence against women.
Police Spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi said: “As we are still celebrating Women’s Month, the Sedibeng District women in blue and other women in law enforcement agencies stood firm in fighting gender-based violence in Orange Farm, where women in blue distributed informative pamphlets in the streets and partook in engaging with women.”
Msibi further said that the focus was on different factors affecting the youth, especially young women in the job market.
“The community was also sensitized about the different forms of GBV, and ways to curb and report such acts.”
Leading from the front was Brigadier Nikiwe Hoane, who encouraged young women during the operation to stand firm against gender-based violence.”
