
SEDIBENG.- With the Safa Sedibeng Women’s Regional League entering week number nine – Elmagree Ladies is at the summit of the log with 22 points from nine games.
They have won a total of seven games, drawn one and lost one game since the start of the season. Hot behind their heels is Vaal Ladies FC with 18 points with two games behind. They have played seven games, won six and lost one game. Vaal Ladies FC is one of the favourites to be crowned the Safa Sedibeng Women’s Regional League champions at the end of their season if their current performance is anything to go by. They started the season like a house on fire but lockdown didn’t make things easy for them as football activities had to be suspended.
Letta Stars Development Ladies FC occupy third spot on the log with the same number of games and points with Vaal Ladies FC but the two are separated by the goal difference. It is a 50/50 situation between this two ladies’ soccer teams. Letta Stars Development Ladies FC is also a favourite to challenge for the league title come the end of the season.
LMMTT Development Ladies FC and Italian Two Touch Ladies are on fourth and fifth position on the log with the same number of points with Vaal Ladies and Letta Stars Development Ladies. This mean the from these four teams anyone of them can be crowned the Safa Sedibeng Regional’s Women League champions at the end of the season.
Tornado Academy Ladies and Sebokeng Ladies FC are at the bottom and second bottom of the log respectively and have yet to win their first games of the season after six games. They have played a total of six games but lost all of them.
Meanwhile, VUT Ladies and Ayeye Ladies FC are the only two teams that still have to play their first league matches.
