Government officials embark on a cleaning campaign in Sharpeville and Boipatong

"We want to create spaces or areas for their children's recreation."

SHARPEVILLE. – The Executive Mayor of Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM), Gift Moerane joined by Gauteng MEC for Social Development, Nomathemba Mokhethi, and other officials were hard at work on a cleaning campaign that started in Boipatong and ended in Boipatong on Tuesday.

The mayor argued the community members who have trucks to go to the municipality to register their trucks for work in their areas.

“Community members must take pride of their environment. We want to create spaces or areas for their children’s recreation. This cleaning campaign should be a weekly thing,” said Moerane.
