VANDERBIJLPARK.- A 37-year-old woman was seriously injured this morning when struck by an SUV on the R57 in Vanderbijlpark yesterday.

ER24 arrived at 06:59 to find a woman lying partially beneath a parked bakkie. The SUV that had struck the woman was parked on the side of the road. Medics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition. The woman was treated and provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to a Provincial Hospital for further care.

The driver of the SUV, fortunately, escaped injury.
