VANDERBIJLPARK.-  Vaal University of Technology (VUT) Basketball star, Stando Gaula has been selected for the Student Basketball National for the Confederations of University and Colleges Sports Association.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, VUT Basketball Coach, Zanele Ngwenya described Gaula’s inclusion in the national as a well-deserved selection. Ngwenya described Gaula as a hard worker who is commitment .

“She is an athlete whose commitment is there for everyone to see, be at training or matches. She is very committed to her basketball career, and it came as a surprise for her to be selected for the students’ basketball national team. She is a hard worker because she wants to go far with this sport. I have no doubt that she is destined for a great future if her current performance is anything to go by,” said Ngwenya.

Ngwenya said this is not the first time Gaula will compete at the highest level. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that, Gaula competed at USSA held in Port Elizabeth in September this year.

Ngwenya said apart from basketball, Gaula also plays netball, and this shows her commitment in sports.
