Evaton Mall becomes the home of community safety

EVATON.- The Evaton Mall recently became a ‘safety haven’.

This was when the Gauteng MEC of Community Safety, Faith Mazibuko, Gauteng SAPS Provincial Commissioner, Elias Mawela, Evaton Mall Asset Manager, Kelly Carmichael and Evaton Mall Centre Manager, Joseph Mashabane foresaw the deployment of over eight hundred community patrollers into various crime hotspots in Gauteng Province as part of of a safer festive season.


Evaton Mall’s Marketing Manager, Mpho Liau said that a handover of high-performance vehicles fitted with cutting edge technology to the Gauteng Traffic Police Department also took place on the day. “Evaton Mall also handed-over twenty bicycles to the Evaton West Community Patrollers in a commitment to assist law enforcement in the fight against criminal activities in the area.”
