Dedication and hard work rewards social workers

As part of showing dedication and the love for her work, Patricia Diatshwana was awarded Best Employee of the year 2021.

THE BARRAGE.- The ceremony to award Social Workers was hosted jointly by Jamela Rehabilitation Center, Vanderbijlpark Trauma Counseling Empowerment Centre and Indibano Victim Empowerment Project at Vaal Nature Resort on 14 December.

The Chief Executive Officer of Jamela Rehabilitation center, Doctor George Sibanda said during the awards that Diatshwana, managed to serve in three three organisations. That is Jamela, Indibano and Trauma Center.

Her responsibility, was to manage five Victim Friendly Facilities in five police stations.

“She has shown extreme leadership qualities in her line of duty,” said Sibanda.

Most of her team members were not happy at the time Lawrence Sibanda, Manager of Indibano announced for the first time that Diatshwana is going to concentrate at Jamela Rehabilitation Center.

“This is a reward for her dedication and commitment that she has proven to the management.”

Another award for the Best Employee of the month, was received by Jermaine Ngwenya, another dedicated Social Worker. N

gwenya, who deals with substance abuse patients, impressed both the management as well as board members.

Lydia Radebe scooped an award for collection and distribution of second hand clothes to needy communities.
