“Outages at Three Rivers due to cable fault” – ELM

Following outages at Three Rivers due to a cable fault, Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) says cable testing is currently underway and there is no ETR at this stage.

In a “Daily power outage update” on Tuesday, ELM gave an update on Vereening, CE7 Extension 2 and Vanderbijilpark.

According to ELM: In Vereening technicians have identified the cable fault affecting parts of the CBD, repairs are in progress.

In Vanderbijilpark the electricity department is experiencing a high volume of isolated complaints. “Technicians have been dispatched to attend to all complaints, affected consumers are requested to exercise patience as teams are working on restoring supply to all affected.”

At CE7 Extension 2 the municipality said several houses affected by power outages in CE7 Extension 2. “Due to a faulty mini substation in the area. Repairs are still underway. No ETR can be shared at this stage.”
