Two Touch FC and Junior Swallows match called off

There is a plea for the clubs to help the association to identify players who would be interested in refereeing.

SEDIBENG.- Two Touch FC are still at the top of the Emfuleni Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League in the Vanderbijlpark Stream despite not playing over the weekend. Two Touch FC and Junior Swallows FC much anticipated Super League match scheduled to take place at Bophelong over the weekend was called off as the match officials didn’t pitch up and both teams agreed to call the game off.

It is a well know that there is a shortage of match officials in Super League and at some league matches there was only one match official without his assistants.

There is a plea for the clubs to help the association to identify players who would be interested in refereeing. However, JJ Sporting and Athlentico are some of the the favourates to be crowned the champions at the end of the season if their current pefromance is anything to go by. Atlentico caused a big upset when they beat JJ Sporting 3-1 in the Super League match at Bophelong Stadium over the weekend.

No one expected this kind of score taking into cosideration that both teams were also desperate for three point to close the gap at the top of the log. This results were in favour of Two Touch FC who were watching from the stand.
