Boipatong SAPS elects interim CPF

BOIPATONG. – Following a recent meeting held by the Sedibeng Community Policing Forum (CPF) at the Boipatong SAPS, a new CPF interim committee was elected.
Police Spokesperson Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela reports that the meeting was attended by various stakeholders including the Station Management, Sector Commander as well as the local Councillor.
“The purpose of the meeting was to establish the CPF in the area. The six members were elected to act as an interim committee until the Annual General Meeting (AGM) where elections will take place. The elected committee’s programme of action will be drafted, adopted and implemented by the collective.”
Maxambela said that the management would also use the opportunity to introduce the new Station Commander of Boipatong SAPS as well as the new Head of Support services.
Maxambela says the community is urged to take heed of the call to form part of engagements that will take place.
“Lieutenant Colonel Molotsi says he is eager to work hand in hand with the community and further assures the community that safety in the Boipatong policing precinct starts with him.”
The community is urged to report any form of criminal activities and crime to the police.
