I have just found out that my SASSA grant has been hacked since November 2021.   Ten percent of my allowance has been paid to a certain company for a ‘funeral cover policy’. I have never applied for or consented to any deductions from my disability allowance.

I further believe that this scam has been made possible by people within the Department of Social Welfare. This is a warning to fellow SASSA recipients to look out for any abnormal deductions from their allowances!
