VANDERBIJLPARK.-A double murder and double attempted murder suspect allegedly committed suicide in the Vanderbijlpark Margistrates Court on Tuesday.

A 40-year-old who was suspected of strangling two children to death and attempting two kill another two in Boipatong in January this year is said to have allegedly committed suicide inside the Vanderbijlpark police cells on Tuesday.

Provincial Police Spokesperson, Colonel Dimakatso Sello confirmed that a 40-year-old man was found dead in the cells. This comes after  Bashin Mzingisi Mdiki who was facing a double murder and two attempted cases briefly appeared at the court for the third time.

An inquest docket has been opened for investigation.
