Increase in school break-ins in Boipatong worry police

The damages are estimated to the tune of R32 000.

BOIPATONG.- Police are investigating a case of bussiness burglary after Phuthulla Primary school was vandalised and damaged in Boipatong recently. Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Thembeka Maxambela said that the increase in break-ins in the schools is very alarming in the area as two primary were also broken into on the same day. Maxambela said that at Phuthulla Primary School the suspects forcefully broke the burglary door,windows and the door  as they ransacked the principal’s office and stole a DVD player. They also futher went to a hidden safe and  used an electric grander to open it. ” They managed to take R1 500 in cash that was in the safe, they also took a wifi-router and left one in the front door of the principal office. They further took 8 bottles of fish oil and milk. The damages are estimated to the tune of R32 000. Boipatong Police Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Molotsi is cornced about the increase of crime in the institutions of learning.
