Local businesswoman becomes Mrs Sedibeng finalist

Khosana promises to mentor many other business people in Sedibeng.

VEREENIGING.- Local businesswoman, Iris Khosana proves that age is nothing but a number.

Khosana is a finalist in the Mrs Sedibeng Pageant 2022. The competition’s auditions took place in March and that is where she was nominated as a finalist. The pageant is an initiative which was started to bring communities, young and old together through showcasing their beauty. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Khosana, an owner of massage parlors around Sedibeng and many other businesses, said that she entered the Pageant because modeling is a hobby that she has loved from childhood and participated in.

“I won quite a few titles in my youth days, and I have entered this one to show women out there that age isn’t nothing but a number especially when you have what it takes (personality, confidence, outer/inner beauty and intelligence). Our Mrs category has nine ladies, three African and six white. I would like to encourage all African Queens out there to get out of their comfort zone, love themselves and explore good things in life,” she said adding that it is important to believe in yourself, to follow your heart and to enjoy life. We only have one life to live, and tomorrow is not guaranteed. Being a local successful businesswoman, I am a role model for many women. Entering this competition will encourage other women to stand up and embrace life no matter their situations.”

Should she win this competition, Khosana said that she would continue with women and youth empowerment programs as her objective is to impart skill, create jobs and alleviate poverty.

“I will incorporate more black owned businesses into my business as their mentor like the three I’m currently hosting at my premises namely the Beauty Lounge, Luv Luv Cosmetics and Drip Therapy Centre.”
